Release Date:
News Item Date:

E-Verify has published 3 fact sheets that provide information for F-1 and M-1 visa holders studying in the United States and the designated school officials (DSOs) who assist them.

One fact sheet explains the employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) process (PDF) to students. Another explains how E-Verify works (PDF), how these students can ensure their records are correct so they can avoid receiving a tentative nonconfirmation (mismatch) and what steps they can take if they receive a mismatch. A third fact sheet explains how DSOs can assist students who have questions about Form I-9 or E-Verify (PDF).

The fact sheets are posted on the Publications section of the E-Verify Employee Rights Toolkit page.
