Nebraska Joins RIDE Program

Nebraska joins the Records and Information from DMVs for E-Verify (RIDE) Program starting February 1, 2015. RIDE helps to reduce document fraud and boosts the accuracy of E-Verify employment eligibility verifications. Nebraska joins Mississippi, Florida, Idaho and Iowa in this initiative.

TPS Extended and Redesignated for Syria

The Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has extended and redesignated the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for Syria for 18 months from April 1, 2015 through Sept. 30, 2016. The extension allows current TPS beneficiaries of Syria to re-register for TPS.

TPS Designation, EADs Extended for El Salvador

The Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has extended the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for El Salvador for an additional 18 months, from March 10, 2015 through Sept. 9, 2016. The extension allows current TPS beneficiaries of El Salvador to re-register for TPS in accordance with the Federal Register notice. DHS has also automatically extended the validity of Employment Authorization Documents issued under the TPS designation of El Salvador for six months, through Sept.

myE-Verify accounts now in 16 more states!

myE-Verify is a website that gives U.S. workers and job-seekers resources and tools to learn about and participate in the E-Verify process. In October 2014, the website introduced two new services, myE-Verify accounts and Self Lock, in five states and the District of Columbia.

Revised DHS Tentative Nonconfirmation (Mismatch) Further Action Notice and Fact Sheet Help Employees Correct Immigration Records

On Feb. 23, 2014, E-Verify released an updated DHS Mismatch Further Action Notice to include information on correcting immigration records. The Further Action Notice directs employees to the Fact Sheet: How to Correct Your Immigration Records after Resolving a Tentative Nonconfirmation (Mismatch) in E-Verify for more detailed instructions.

E-Verify and Form I-9 User Support Enhancement

On February 24, 2014 callers to the E-Verify Contact Center toll-free number will be greeted with a new Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system that will expedite access to E-Verify, Form I-9 and Self Check information. Callers will use their voice or touch tone phone to navigate to automated answers or a service representative.  The IVR system was designed to enhance user service.
