 ALERT: President Biden issued a Memorandum on Extending Eligibility for Deferred Enforced Departure for Liberians to the secretaries of state and homeland security that defers through June 30, 2026, the removal of any Liberian national, or person without nationality who last habitually resided in Liberia, who is present in the United States and who was under Deferred Enforced Departure (DED)

Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti Extended and Redesignated for 18 Months; Certain Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) Automatically Extended Through Aug. 3, 2025 | News Item

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas extended and redesignated Haiti for TPS from Aug. 4, 2024, through Feb. 3, 2026. Nationals of Haiti and individuals with no nationality who last habitually resided in Haiti may submit an initial registration application under the redesignation of Haiti for TPS and apply for an EAD. Current beneficiaries who want to maintain their status must re-register and may apply for new EADs.
