Somalia Redesignated for TPS and TPS Extended for 18 Months; Certain EADs Automatically Extended Through Sept. 17, 2025 | News Item

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas extended and redesignated Somalia for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) from Sept. 18, 2024, through March 17, 2026. Nationals of Somalia and individuals with no nationality who last habitually resided in Somalia may submit an initial registration application under the redesignation of Somalia for TPS and apply for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD).
