4.1 Your Options

You may choose which employees your organization will verify through E-Verify from the following three options:

  • Employees (new and existing) assigned to a federal contract only
  • Employees assigned to a covered federal contract and new hires throughout the organization
  • Entire workforce (all new hires and all existing employees throughout the entire company)

Note: If you choose to verify your entire existing workforce in E-Verify, you must verify all of your existing employees except those who are completely exempt from E-Verify as discussed in Section 3.3. If you have selected to verify your entire workforce, but have not yet begun verifying your existing employees, you may change your selection to ‘All new hires and all existing employees assigned to a Federal contract.’ However, if you have begun verifying your existing employees, then you are not permitted to change your selection.
